Aprilia launched the 2012 Tuono V4 R APRC, a bike that’s able to deal effortless with the demands of the most hardcore enthusiasts.

The motorcycle features a dynamic body that cuts through the air with ease and is powered by Aprilia’s longitudinal 65° V-4 cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled engine with double overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder. The modern engine rewards you with a maximum output of 167.3 CV (123 kW) at 11.500 rpm and 111.5 Nm of torque at 9.500 rpm.

The engine is mounted on a strong yet light aluminum frame. The company says that the Tuono’s frame “ exploits the strength and flexibility of cast and pressed elements in a structure that sets new benchmarks in terms of balance and dynamic efficiency.” Shortly, that is translated into maximum torsional stiffness and flexional stiffness.

Press Release

From the bike which dominated the World Superbike Championship, Aprilia extracts the fiercest naked ever seen.

The only bike of its kind with a V4 engine, the most powerful, with 167.3 hp, and the most effective, with a completely revised chassis architecture that sets new benchmarks for the class. A naked sports bike capable of dominating any road with its indomitable performance and with the most advanced active safety features in the segment. Triple mapping for instantly tailoring the performance to your own preferences. also available with aprc - the second generation dynamic control suite developed on the basis of aprilia’s racing experience.

Engine

The Tuono V4R is the only naked powered by a narrow V (65°) 4 cylinder engine with unique characteristics. Extremely compact, as slim as a twin-cylinder and installed in an ultra-compact chassis, the 65° V4 engine is the epitome of Italian engineering ingenuity. The Tuono gives away very little to its RSV4 sibling in terms of pure performance, but in exchange offers a greater fluidity that make it more enjoyable and rewarding to ride on the road and when carrying a passenger.

Chassis And Suspension

In keeping with the Aprilia tradition of creating state of the art chassis architectures, the aluminium frame of the Tuono V4 R exploits the strength and flexibility of cast and pressed elements in a structure that sets new benchmarks in terms of balance and dynamic efficiency. The result is maximum torsional stiffness and flexional stiffness optimised for improved feedback.
Unlike the previous generation twin cylinder Tuono 1000R, the frame developed for the Tuono V4 R has been completely revised with respect to the unit used in the RSV4 to maximise directional control and stability for a naked capable of over 270 Km/h - on the track, of course - while maintaining the legendary safety and impeccable precision typical of Aprilia frames.
This in turn led to new solutions in terms of chassis geometry, such as modifying the trail and lowering the engine in the frame to lower the centre of gravity, for exceptionally neutral behaviour and truly catlike high speed stability.

This means that the Aprilia Tuono is not just a bike with devastating performance, but one whose greatest strength is precisely the incredible ease with which any rider can access its full potential.

McLaren P2 by Rakesh

The McLaren P2 is a concept created by Rakesh Bag , a Student of The Aditya Birla Public School , Veraval , Gujarat from INDIA The styling of the McLaren P2 is more attractive and less clinical than the McLaren P1 , but you can bet your entire worldly possessions on the fact every last millimetre of the bodywork has been extensivley analysed in the windtunnel. The front is unique and original, the way lower part of the bumper flows back into the ‘C’ shaped headlights is inspired. And the P2’s rear end has got to be one of the best in the business. Stunning. “the McLaren P1 and P2 will be the result of 50 years of racing and road car heritage. Twenty years ago we raised the supercar performance bar with the McLaren F1 and our goal with the McLaren P1 and P2 is to redefine it once again.” “Our aim is not necessarily to be the fastest in absolute top speed but to be the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit,” adds McLaren Automotive Managing Director Anton...

Maserati Ghibli vs BMW 6 Series : Which Will You Buy?

When considering vehicles like Maserati Ghibli and the BWM 6 Series Gran Coupe, both reflect an effort toward blending dignified luxury with exhilarating performance. Though beholding vehicles of this caliber is always an exercise most fruitfully left to the natural eye, the image above serves as a simple example of each sedan’s inherent dignity. In lieu of experiencing each vehicle’s performance profile from behind the wheel, the table provided similarly works to demonstrate what both Ghibli and BMW’s 6 series have been engineered to accomplish. Comparing the Maserati Ghibli vs. BMW 6 Series in this regard yields a number of important emphases. Local clients will notice that both vehicles develop their identity around six-cylinder engines with a pair of strategic turbochargers. Yet regardless of identical displacement and analogous induction technology, Maserati serves its Ghibli clients with significantly greater quantities of horsepower and torque. In addition to t...
