Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina

The Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina is a one-off supercar commissioned by American car collector James Glickenhaus.

The P4/5 is built on an Enzo chassis

The Ferrari P4/5 story began in 2005 after Glickenhaus purchased one of the 399 Ferrari Enzo's built. Immediately after buying his Enzo he took it to the Pininfarina styling house and requested that they rebody the car using 1960s Ferrari prototypes as inspiration.

The Pininfarina design team headed by Ken Okuyama tried to provide a truly modern 'retro' supercar using 21st century materials and engineering with traditional and evocative details.

During the build process the Ferrari P4/5 underwent extensive wind tunnel and real world road tests to ensure that the dynamic abilities of the car remained intact.

For Pininfarina to transform the Enzo into the P4/5, more than 200 unique components were developed through constant interaction between styling and design: from the bi-xenon lighting clusters specifically designed with an innovative system of yellow and white LEDs to the alloy wheels – 20-inch aluminum – milled from the block up to and including the aluminum and special steel in-sight hinges.

The sleek lines of the P4/5, characterized by a soft muscular touch, took shape on the body – made entirely of carbon fiber. The tapered profile of the nose highlights both its aerodynamic function and the car’s new look; the central body is dominated by the single-shell windscreen, while the car is accessed via two butterfly type doors. The rear features powerful sides with the embedded teardrop type transparent rear window which also acts as engine cover and from which ceramic-coated exhaust tips peep out, as on racing cars of the Sixties.

By winning the prestigious Rats Hole show in Daytona, the outlandish Nehme-sis from BMS Choppers has vaulted the Star Motorcycles brand to the top in custom bike building.
