Cadillac Cien

The Cadillac Cien (Spanish for 100) was built to celebrate Cadillac's 100th birthday. The Cien uses the crisp angular styling associated with modern Cadillac's, and its low slung razor sharp design was influenced by stealth aircraft. The body and chassis are made of lightweight carbon fiber composite. The Cadillac Cien is equipped with scissor style doors that pivot at the base of the A-pillars upon opening. Interior toys, a Cadillac specialty, include Night Vision, OnStar navigation, StabiliTrak, and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist, features all controlled by voice activation through cadillac's futuristic sounding Communiport system.

Cadillac Sixteen

The last concept car to be overseen by GM Design Chief Wayne Cherry, the Cadillac Sixteen is colossal in size, weight, and presence. Powering the concept is a huge 13.6 litre V12 engine which produces a phenomenal 1,000 horsepower and 1,000 lb/ft of torque. Using clever electrical systems, the engine of the Cadillac Sixteen can run on as little as 4 of its 16 cylinders to conserve fuel. The Cadillac Sixteen rides on 24-inch wheels and features 4-wheel steering in order to help maneuver the car. On the inside, the Cadillac Sixteen has room for four passengers. Highlights include hand woven silk carpets, tuscany leather seats and a Bvulgari clock mounted in the center of the dashboard. An all glass roof and invisible B-pillars help increase the already enormous feeling of space inside.

Cadillac Converj

The CTS Coupe's styling is based on the sedan model At first the Cadillac Converj concept which was revealed at the 2009 Detroit Motor Show appears to be an even more stylish version of the Cadillac CTS Coupe concept. However it's much more than that. Under the striking, angular bodywork is the a hybrid drivetrain developed from the Chevrolet Volt concept. This hybrid technology which GM calls "Voltec" offers up to 40 miles of emission-free electric driving with extended-range capability of hundreds of miles thanks to a small displacement internal combustion engine which can top up the batteries. Bob Lutz, GM's vice chairman of Global Product Development, said the Converj concept has production substance. "It's a logical extension of our plan to reinvent the automobile," he said. "It clearly shows what a Cadillac electric vehicle could look like, and clearly indicates that global luxury customers can have a car that has both strong design and ...

Cadillac Ciel

The Cadillac Ciel concept was one of the more important vehicles to be displayed at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The extravagant concept was an uber-luxurious four-seat convertible which the company used to usher in a new era of Cadillac design. There’s no doubting the Ciel was an impressive machine, one which looks more than capable of fending off its German rivals in terms of style and grace. The Ciel looks like it could even do battle, in terms of style, with the likes of Rolls Royce and Bentley when it comes to ferrying the well-heeled to-and-from their operas, garden parties and other dreary social events. There was a time when the Cadillac Ciel would have been fitted with a massive engine, like a V16 – just think back to the Cadillac Sixteen concept from 2003. But these days even Cadillac have to face up to the fact the world is changing. So instead of an engine fit for a tank, the Ciel is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.6 litre direct injecti...

Cadillac Elmiraj

The Cadillac Elmiraj is Cadillac’s take on the luxury two-door grand coupe. At 205 inches (5.2 metres) the Cadillac Elmiraj is an imposing vehicle with plenty of presence, and it wears Cadillac’s Art & Science design style very well. Looking both futuristic and classical at the same time. Yet despite its size, Cadillac have engineered the car to be as light as possible using their new RWD vehicle architecture. Speaking about the Elmiraj, Clay Dean, Cadillac’s executive director of advanced design said, “This concept is the second chapter, following the Ciel Concept, of our exploration of the personas of true luxury. This project originated around the simple persona of “the drive,” or the visceral experience of driving a great luxury coupe. It’s an expression of the confidence and poise you feel driving a high-performance car, which we feel is an essential element of top-level luxury.” The front of the car is unmisakable as belonging...

Cadillac XTS

The Cadillac XTS is a full-size luxury sedan from the Cadillac brand of General Motors.[1] It is based on an enlarged version of the Epsilon II platform. The XTS replaces both the Cadillac STS and DTS,[2] and is smaller than the DTS but larger than the STS. It began production in May 2012 at the Oshawa Assembly Plant and launched in June. The XTS is available with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. For the Chinese market, the Cadillac XTS is being assembled by Shanghai GM. Production began in February 2013. In addition to the LFX 3.6 V6, Cadillac XTS also comes with an LTG 2.0 turbo engine in the Chinese market. In the Chinese market, the Cadillac XTS with an LFX 3.6 V6 engine is called XTS 36S, and the version with LTG 2.0 turbo engine is called XTS 2.0T. This vehicle may be partially marketed in Europe, though the only LWB car based on the Epsilon II platform sold in Europe was Saab 9-5 which ceased production in 2012. As of September 2014, the Cadillac XTS Sedan is availa...

Cadillac CTS-V

Overview: This is our kind of Cadillac: It’s standard with a supercharged 556-hp 6.2-liter V-8, a sport suspension, big Brembo brakes, and either a six-speed stick or automatic transmission. The CTS-V is a coupe only; the sedan and wagon are gone. We love the chassis and the steering, but the big V-8 is a low-revver, the optional Recaro seats are stiff, and the interior is outdated. But it’s the only Caddy with a top speed limited to 179 mph, and the sedan will return next year on the next-gen platform. Price: $70,735
