The Devel Sixteen was unveiled at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show, and according to its creator Majid Al Attar (from Defining Extreme Vehicles Car Industry L.L.C.) the new Devel Sixteen is created with the passion of making this car a legend in the history of super cars.
According to its creator, it will be powered by a quad-turbo V-16 engine that will produce extreme 5,000 horsepower (power of roughly four Bugatti Veyron Super Sports) that should enable 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 1.8 seconds with an estimate top speed of 350mph (560km/h).
It will also have a “street mode” that will deactivate eight of the 16 cylinders and reduce power to about 800-900 horsepower, and activating the rest 8 cylinders for releasing another 4.200 hp with push-of-a-button.
The problem is that there’s so much here that seems impossible, for example there are no road-legal tires available that can handle that speed, and the offered price of just $1 million for impossible 5,000 hp monster car is kind of cheap. For now Devel has no proof to back up the insane idea of 5,000 hp engine and the whole project stays as only imaginary figures.
