The 500G Razor by Pedro Almeida won the second prize ($1,000) at the 2013 Supercar Body Challenge organized by “GrabCAD” and the “500 Group”. The competition idea was to create a timeless design without using styling cues usually associated with other manufacturers. The first place award of $2,000 took Greg Thompson with his Kanza Supercar design.
The Razor gets its name from the sharp edges used to create the changes between all the main surfaces. The design concept is based on simple idea with powerful stance and sense of unity between all elements.
The front and rear bumpers create a very unique language by contrasting with the main body. This graphical appearance gives the Razor also a sense of speed even when standing still. All horizontal lines rise from the front to the back defining the shape of the wheel curves and threw the overall length of car.
